(Another independent film, which can be viewed
online. This is a prequel from "The Lord of the
Rings."
"A scattered people, the
descendents of storied sea kings of the ancient West, struggle to
survive in a lonely wilderness as a dark force relentlessly bends
its will toward their destruction. Yet amidst these valiant,
desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from
father to son."

trade in 19th century Britain, led by William
Wilberforce, who was responsible for steering anti-slave trade

Keeping

Song of Solomon as a turning point. In this clip, the
Vicar reads passages from the Bible to re-ignite passion into his
marriage at a critical time when his wife is on the cusp of plunging
into an adulterous affair with a real creep. - S. K. Smith)

Charlie Chaplin: The
Great Dictator (1940)
(This 1940 film was Charlie Chaplin's first
"Talkie." It was very bold and prophetic for its
time, as it conceived on the cusp of World War Two and the rise of
Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany. A Jewish barber, recovering
from amnesia, is a dead ringer for the dictator of Tomainia,
Adenoid Hynkel. The symbol of the dictator's regime is the
double cross, which is enforced by Storm Trooper. See

the inside that the outside. Oh, the marvels of science fiction.
Two 2005 episodes, "The
Empty Child" and its sequel "The
Doctor Dances", are set in Great Britain during the
